My NEW RULE

Since this so-called "Joe the Plumber" is neither named Joe nor is he a licensed plumber;

Since he doesn't appear to have worked at this profession in WEEKS;

Since he now has his own publicist and is intending to embark on some new "celebrity"-type career;


Since he espouses ignorant ideas about Obama and Israel, Socialism, and taxes and still backs McCain DESPITE the fact that he initially said he was worried about the effect of Obama's tax plan on his dream of someday owning his own plumbing business and it has since become clear that Obama's plan would be better for him than McCain's under those circumstances;

Therefore:

NEW RULE: Joe the Plumber must hereby be re-christened "Joe the Ignorant" because he seems to be officially representing that willfully ignorant segment of our society that refuses to see the facts and continues to cling to their ignorant beliefs.
